My Journey at ISB&M — Still Unfolding
Every great dream requires the ideal environment to develop—one that pushes you, molds you, and enables you to realize your full potential. I wanted more than just a college when I made the decision to pursue a career in management; I wanted an experience that would push me daily and get me ready for the real corporate world. My quest brought me to ISB&M Pune, a campus that immediately struck me as vibrant with learning, ambition, and limitless possibilities.
When I first arrived, I was taken in by the lush green surroundings, the cool breeze, and the calm yet energetic vibe of the hills around Nande. There was an immediate sense that this is where transformation begins. Everyone here — from the staff to the students — works tirelessly to keep the campus alive and thriving.
The journey started with an intense seven-day orientation program. At first, it was exciting but also overwhelming — waking up early, attending back-to-back sessions, and listening to inspiring professionals share their corporate journeys. I remember telling my dad about the long schedule, and he smiled and said, “They’re shaping you for your future corporate life.” He was right. By the end of those days, I realized how much the program had already changed the way I think and work.
Soon after, classes arrived, bringing with them instructors who do more than simply impart knowledge; they also bring in real-world business experience. I've studied everything from communication tactics to how the media is changing in the digital era because I'm a huge media enthusiast. The best part is that education here focuses on critical thinking and real-world experience rather than just textbooks.
ISB&M's student-driven cell and club culture is what really sets it apart. Everything here is designed, organized, and carried out by students, including management conclaves, corporate guest lectures, cultural festivals, national celebrations, and lifestyle events. To ensure that every event goes well and makes an impression, various cells and clubs put in countless hours of work. Juniors receive mentoring from seniors who teach them how to lead teams, cope with stress, plan big events, and realize innovative ideas. In addition to making the campus lively, this culture develops our leadership, time-management, and problem-solving abilities, which better equip us for the corporate world than any textbook could.
At ISB&M, there is a balance between celebration and rigor. In addition to the sleepless nights, busy schedules, and times when you feel pressured to perform at your highest level, there are also memorable occasions, gatherings, and festivities that unite people. It's a place that teaches you to prepare for the future while working hard and enjoying the journey.
